Airtable AI users can now access IBM watsonx.ai and IBM Granite Models
Tap into watsonx’s AI capabilities for GenAI-powered applications that can transform your work
Today, we announced our collaboration with IBM to offer IBM watsonx.ai AI studio to Airtable AI customers. This unlocks greater platform choice and model flexibility, and empowers customers to build intuitive, secure, and governed applications that transform their most critical enterprise workflows.
AI has reached a tipping point. It can transform a broad range of use cases and problems, but only a small percentage of people know how to realize its full value. Airtable’s no-code mission is to empower citizen developers across teams to build the apps they need to run their business – AI massively accelerates our ability to deliver on this mission. Today’s AI platforms like IBM watsonx can help organizations build and deploy highly tailored, generative AI applications that power critical workflows, such as helping users to analyze, organize and connect information in Airtable making their data actionable across the enterprise.
“Our enterprise customers need the ability to integrate scalable AI into their most critical workflows—while maintaining governance and control,” said Howie Liu, CEO and co-founder of Airtable. “IBM has a long-standing commitment to responsible AI, security, and innovation. We’re thrilled to offer our customers the ability to leverage watsonx in building AI-powered applications that transform their most important workflows.”
Tap into the power of enterprise-ready AI models
IBM’s watsonx.ai is an enterprise studio that helps organizations train, validate, tune and deploy AI models - including IBM Granite, IBM’s flagship series of foundation models, as well as open-source models like Meta Llama 3. As part of our expanded collaboration with IBM, Airtable AI customers can now take advantage of watsonx.ai capabilities to help them build high quality AI use-cases for their business.
“Businesses of all sizes recognize the potential of trustworthy generative AI technology to transform their critical workflows and help modernize their operations,” said Raj Datta, Vice President, Software and AI Partnerships, IBM. “Our collaboration with Airtable is a prime example of how embedding watsonx helps companies integrate and scale generative AI to address their unique needs and objectives.”
IBM's watsonx AI studio offers customers access to IBM-developed Granite models, open-source, and third-party enterprise-grade foundation models to help customers and partners responsibly scale and operationalize AI.
Airtable AI customers on the Enterprise Scale and Business plans now have access to IBM watsonx.ai, alongside other platforms like Amazon Bedrock & OpenAI. To learn more and conduct a demo, visit airtable.com/platform/ai.
