FAQ

You have questions, we have answers.

Portals are a tool that allow you to create a customized experience for external users, such as vendors, clients, and contractors.

With Portals, guest users can sign in to your Airtable app through a specialized login page and collaborate with your team. You can enable guest user access by buying the Portals add-on and inviting guests to your app.

This beta is available for customers on a Teams, Business, or Enterprise Scale plan. Visit your account page for more information.

A guest user is considered a user who does not share your team or company's email domain, or uses a personal domain (like gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc.). Guest users can only be invited via the portals add-on.

Guest users must have a different domain than your company's domain. For Team plan customers, your company domain is determined by the email addresses of your workspace owners. Note that this add-on is not allowed for owners who have personal email domains.

Additionally, guest users cannot be invited as regular collaborators to interfaces and will not have access to the underlying base. You can only invite guest users to one portal per organization. You can find more information about limits in this support article.

The Portals add-on is available for Team plan customers starting at $120 per month for 15 guests and 1 portal. For Business and Enterprise customers, custom pricing is available. Bulk discounts are available for large volumes of guests.

Billable seats for guest users will be counted when a guest user is invited to your portal app with editor or commenter permissions on the Team plan.

Additionally, guest users will be charged as a full collaborator seat if they are added to multiple apps in your organization or if they are invited to the underlying base for your app.
