Satish is a Licensed Professional Engineer registered with Professional Engineers Ontario, Canada with 35 years of accomplished experience in almost all fields of energy and power system- Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Delivery to end customers, Electrical utility operations and management, project management related to DS grid modernisation, renewable energy interconnections (DERs), storage technologies, smart metering / AMI, Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) / Smart Grid, Demand Side Management (DSM) & energy efficiency; Customer Information Services and Customer Experience (CIS & CX) programs. Actively participated in the development of various energy policies with ministries, regulatory authorities, utilities and local distribution companies. He is an active member of IEEE in various committees, Task Forces and Working Groups related to Grid Modernization; Smart Distribution, Smart Grid, MicroGrids, Energy Transition, Climate Changes and Grid adaptability & resiliency; Utility Transformation & Digitalization. Current Chair of IEEE Smart Grid Technical Activities Committee and Chair of Education Committee IEEE Toronto Section. Has a strong vision of meeting 2050 Net Zero targets with innovative policies and emerging technologies addressing all segments on the grid and collaborating with all stakeholders at global level; along with enhancing the resiliency and adaptability of the aging DS Grid with latest technologies and solutions while transforming utilities through digitalization and other supporting tools
