Job Resume/Interview Preparation

Explore

Inspired by the Manager Tools podcast about Interviewing (https://www.manager-tools.com/products/interview-series), this Airtable takes you through the process of mining your job history for all the ammunition you need to land that job you really want.

  1. Start by detailing your job history. Don't fill in Accomplishments or tags for now, just the details.
  2. With the oldest job first, mine each job for all the 'Accomplishments' you achieved at that role. Try to get 3 for each job.
  3. Now rank your Accomplishments for scope, impact and difficulty.
  4. For each of the Accomplishments, create keywords representing the different types of activity required to achieve that accomplishment.- e.g. Sales Lead Generation, Vendor Management, etc.
  5. Now view your Keywords to see how each of your accomplishments map to your areas. Look for any gaps or weaknesses and try to fill in with additional accomplishments as required.

You can use this Airtable to help you write/update your resume and complete application forms, as well as drafting your cover letters.
