Ever wonder what you can make in your Instant Pot with the ingredients you already have in your kitchen?
ā
Ever find yourself hungry at 7pm, racking your brain for a quick recipe when all you want to do is order takeout?
ā
Ever end up wandering the aisles of your local supermarket, trying to make your shopping trip as efficient as possible but struggling to piece together a cart that makes any real sense?
ā
I had all of these problems, so I created an Airtable base to solve them.
ā
This base will help you:
ā
ā
All you need to do to get started is take stock of:
ā
ā
ā
To use this base, go through your fridge and pantry and record everything you have. Pick the "status" that corresponds best to your usage of that item -- "Full," "Opened," "Almost Gone," or "Empty." Something that's "Almost Gone" will only make it through one more recipe. Something that's "Opened" still has some juice left (think a 1/2 full bottle of olive oil).
ā
Use the "Gallery (Can Make)" in the Recipes table to see the dishes that you can make currently (all of the ingredients it is linked to are not "Empty").
ā
Every time you finish making a recipe, go through the linked ingredients and set them to "Empty" or "Opened" or "Almost Gone."
ā
When it's time to go shopping, use the Shopping List view in the Food table, which is sorted by "# of Ingredients Missing" -- this will help you prioritize buying those ingredients which factor into the most meals.
