Traveltech for Scotland has worked with Karin Gidlund and Megan McGurren - two of the experienced tourism professionals behind the Scottish Tourism Toolkit - to look at how different technologies can help tourism businesses in Scotland adapt and diversify in a post-Covid19 world.
The result is this interactive directory, designed to help tourism businesses with inspiration and ideas, as well as recommendations and solutions.
It includes case studies to inspire you from across the world. The team have created a list of companies that offer technology solutions, many of them based in Scotland, but also from the rest of the UK and the world. The companies offer solutions for anything from online ticketing and creating podcasts, to app development and social distancing solutions.
The directory also features a list of resources available to Scottish businesses, a glossary and a summary of technologies. If you want to learn more about how to make the most of this directory, click on “Explore the base” and scroll down to “User guide”.
The directory will be updated in future with more content, providing more solutions and case study examples. If you would like to be included in the directory as a traveltech organisation or case study, or if you would like to share your feedback or ideas for how we could improve it, please contact Traveltech for Scotland by emailing lesley.judge@ei.ed.ac.uk or joshua.ryan-saha@ei.ed.ac.uk
