Base highlights

This base contains the following elements:

  • A log table to track individually tracked tasks
  • An invoice table to summarize hours worked and associated charges for each task
  • An automation to trigger sending an email containing invoice details
  • A script to update the invoice record

How to use this base

The structure of the base is straight forward; you can log any number of individual tasks or events and link them to a specific invoice. The invoice will aggregate hours worked and an hourly rate to produce an invoice total, and also account for other charges not captured by hourly work (e.g. travel expenses, subscription fees).

When you're ready to send an invoice, clicking the Send Invoice button will trigger the custom script to update the date for when the invoice is sent (marking the current date and time). Then, an automation takes over to put together the invoice details into a concise email. That email is sent to a pre-determined list of recipients.
