Gaming Backlog & Collection

An Airtable base for managing your video game backlog! Includes functionality to track upcoming, released, and owned games.

Getting Started

First things first, delete all the starting games data! I recommend starting from scratch to avoid any future confusion. So, then, next comes the hard part: entering in all your games! Or at a minimum, the ones you wish to track in a "backlog" and/or "future releases" list. For example, you could enter in the games you are currently playing to start, then add upcoming games as you find out about them, and build the list from there; or you could generate a list of all your digital and/or hard disc games and get to typing! There's a form within the base which may speed up the process, and can also be used in the future when on the go for quickly entering new ones.

Maintaining

As games get released and you finish some of your backlog, be sure to update the info in your base! This includes anticipated release dates and those wonderful moments of crossing a game off your backlog. :)

Make it Your Own

This is just a jumping off point which I hope you will find useful for customizing it to your liking! I've toyed with the idea of adding genres and more granular detail to the backlog tracking but I think some of those edits are best left to the individual. Plus, part of the beauty of Airtable to me is being able to make your own personal version.

Enjoy!
