The Neighbor Network is a program started during the pandemic to connect volunteers with older adults to call during the pandemic. These calls help provide social connection to all involved and help connect seniors to critical resources through our nonprofit partners. You can find more information at theneighbornetwork.org.

We use an Airtable base for each of our programs to keep track of information about volunteers and seniors and "match" them in our system, so we know who is calling who. We use Airtable and Zapier automations to run volunteer management, including notifying volunteers when to stop calling a senior, assigning volunteers to seniors, reminding volunteers to call, reminding staff to follow up on senior needs and more. This template synthesizes what we have learned across our programs.
