1027 = pisteuo
Page 1027 starts with quoting in full Strong's Concordance entry for pisteuo. This represents how KJV translated in 1611. The NIVTD adds "to obey" meaning when directed at a person.
New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology and Exegesis (2014) (NIDNTT) - has language of 1027, and adds reference to Sophocles to prove "obey" meaning.
Moises Silva, Ed.
Grand Rapids, Michigan, Zondervan, 2014
The NIDNT is verbatim same as NIVTD on "pisteuo," but adds reference to Sophocles. See URL on preceptaustin to right.
