Park(ing) Day Grant Application
Park(ing) Day is Friday, September 17, 2021. Park(ing) Day is a global, public, participatory art and design activism project launched by Rebar in 2005. It is a day where people across the globe temporarily repurpose street parking spaces and convert them to tiny parks and places for art, play, and activism. Spin is awarding $1,000 grants to organizations who want to participate in Park(ing) Day in their city. We're looking for creative, sustainable, and fun Park(ing) Day ideas that show how street parking spaces can become places of joy. Want a place for people to sit down, read a book, play a game, take a dance class, or do some art? Grant funds may be used to purchase or rent physical materials and/or to provide programming. Grantees are responsible for signing up for Park(ing) Day through local city permitting processes, or paying the parking meter if local permits are not required.
