The Majumder Lab [lab.maimunamajumder.com] at Harvard Medical School & Boston Children's Hospital is currently hiring for multiple open positions at the intersection of machine learning, pandemic preparedness, and socioepidemic misinformation. Open positions include: [1] Two full-time postdoctoral fellowships AND [2] Two Boston-area* undergraduate- or graduate-level research assistantships All applicants will be considered for ongoing projects that apply machine learning to pandemic preparedness and/or socioepidemic misinformation. Successful applicants will also be welcome to propose their own projects under these broad application areas. For those interested in pandemic preparedness, experience with (or interest in) infectious disease dynamics, agent-based models, health policy evaluation, Bayesian inference, and/or complex contagion on social networks is preferred (but not required). For those interested in socioepidemic misinformation, experience with (or interest in) sentiment analysis, emotion analysis, and/or large language models is a plus (but not required).
