HEALTH & SAFETY The river’s edge can be hazardous, especially when the river is in spate. There are slippery rocks and tree roots, deep water and strong currents. Please do not enter the water. Access is limited to some of the locations. There are no pavements at some of the locations, so please be aware of traffic and moving vehicles when observing. Please do not enter private land when observing. Sewage debris or outflow water can be hazardous to health, so take care to avoid contact and wash/sanitise hands after any contact. You may wish to take antibacterial gel or wipes with you. If there is evidence of sewage discharge or pollution, please: 1. Take a photo 2. Immediately report to the Pollution Team WhatsApp group (if you are a member), so that someone can come and take a sample 3. Immediately report an incident to the Environment Agency on 0800 80 70 60 (ask for an incident number) 4. Complete and submit this form
