Attorney Sign-Up - Low Bono Referrals for Afghan Clients

To meet the great need for immigration services facing Afghans resettling in the US, AILA is compiling a referral list of attorneys who are willing to offer low bono representation to Afghan clients across the country. Low bono is not a replacement for doing pro bono but augments the capacity to meet the needs of low income legal consumers. If you are interested in providing low bono services, please complete the following survey to be considered for our list. To be considered, attorneys must be AILA members, in good standing, hold malpractice insurance, and agree to provide low bono rates to Afghan clients who contact them through the referral list. Based on information provided on the application, attorneys will be vetted and, once approved, added to the list. To avoid anti-competitive practices, no standard low bono rate is suggested, but such discounted fees will be determined between the client and the attorney. Once complete, this referral list will be publicly available and updated at intervals.

I am covered by malpractice insurance.
