Farmhand (Animal Care): This placement requires volunteers to feed, water, and clean animal enclosures. The volunteer will learn basic animal care and will interact physically with animals on a day to day basis.

This internship is ideal for social work or public policy students but is open to any compassionate person with a commitment to social justice. This internship requires 4-6 hours a week. You will need closed-toed shoes, long pants, and casual clothing that you don't mind sweating in. You will be moving furniture and must be capable of lifting 60 pounds. You will be spending time in low-income areas, but safety has not been an issue in the years that we've been doing this work.
