Pray (figuratively and literally). Use stop when Valkyrie is spinning to easily stagger in phase 2. Hope the beam doesn’t disrupt too much in phase 3 and try to land it on the boss if possible.

RNG luck

Went for maximum points possible which meant abusing the 2 points for revives and 12 points for level two limits. Ended up using 9 limits total throughout and like a million revives. There are literal blocks of time where I’m just running around getting hit so I can build the limit bar and also get points for reviving. I figured I’d settle with last place time scores but make up for it with style points.

Balance and Style

Run him down with Tifa Starshower and Aerith Fira. Barret is Support.

I relied on Aerith's magic strength by double casting fire inside the arcane ward. When Bahamut was staggered, Barret's catastrophe helped to drain HP.

Just tank with Tifa and abuse atb assist, then switch to Aerith to nuke. Use ice spells and focussed strikes to stagger then true strikes, Tifa triangle abilities and spells to finish him.

Goal was to beat WR of 1:47. Just tried to pick up the easier points to get from Fearless by mostly stripping two characters, leaving Cloud and Aerith to do the work. Then mostly went for Trickster as secondary and picked up points in Swift and Unscathed where I could.

Swift > Unscathed > Fearless > Trickster Total points: 318

Pressure/staggered asap, don't let fat chocobi attack, use leap frog to pressure after the first stagger. Use atb assist and skill master ro generate atb.

For Tifa kill in one stagger phase (nearly) by stacking chi and true strikes, plus damage from frogs. With Cloud stagger quickly twice and kill during second stagger phase with transference module to guarantee a cross slash limit break on the second.

Smoked chocobo

Tried to make Cloud and Tifa as even as possible in terms of stats. Had to get them each to have enough MP for 4 Firagas. Tifa could kill in one stagger. Had to get Cloud as close to that as possible. ATB stagger and Skillmaster for ATB. Double chi level for Tifa to build Fat Chocobo stagger past 300%.

Stay on Cloud and counter when Eligor is grounded and not pressured/staggered, using headband to prevent sleeps. Switch to Tifa to stagger in phases 2&3 so she can limit in phase 3. Proc atb assist with Tifa as much as possible. Stack unbridled strength to get enough damage during phase 2 stagger and for start of phase 3. Phase 1: Haste immediately and use 2 Thundaras on one front leg and 1 Thundara on the other. Continue hitting until Staggered and keep attacking until Phase 2. Phase 2: Hide behind the container to avoid damage. Use one Thundara on the remaining front leg, ATB Boost to get 2 bars, and then use 2 Thundagas on a back leg as well as 2 Leapfrogs. Phase 1: Cast Haste, close distance, destroy right left leg to pressure ASAP, soften left front leg for phase 3, stagger by hitting the body to increase limit break gauge, melee combo the core to phase 2 with two full ATB bars. Lock on to one rear leg, uppercut/dive kicks til destroyed. Then thundaga on front leg, pressure, focused strike parry til staggered. P2: lock onto rear leg, try to destroy as quick as possible, watch for luminous blast, block or dodge. Destroy front leg with lightning. Thunder for hp absorb on generator. P3: dodge opening attack, finish front leg, proceed to stagger. Then do stagger damage, thundaga in pilot, finish with somersault on generator.

I found it easier to run to the right at the start of the fight. Whirling Uppercut for ATB, then do just enough damage so that when you destroy the first leg the enemy is pressured with the 1.7x stagger multiplier. I went for back legs first. Phase 2 I had to get rid of the slug rays. Skill master provided enough ATB. Intentionally left one leg (a front leg) for Phase 3 for easy stagger. Ended with Tifa's Dolphin!
