I understand that payments issued to Landlords/Owners will be made via ACH, and that some payments may be made to tenants directly. *
If the County provides funding based on this application, the Owner/Landlord agree that the amount funded (“Settlement Amount”) will be deemed to, at minimum, satisfy all of the Tenant’s total outstanding obligation for rent, late fees, and other charges as of the date of funding. If the Settlement Amount includes funding for prospective rent, that portion of the Settlement Amount will be applied to payments for that prospective rent and no additional fees will assessed for the period covered. Acceptance of the Settlement Amount by Owner/Landlord shall extinguish any late fees assessed after March 13, 2020 in excess of $400 until the end of the period covered by the Settlement Amount. *
If this application is funded, the Owner/Landlord agree that except for grounds permitted by a claim based on a serious and continuing violation of the lease or law, or in MCL 600.5714(1)(b), (c)(i), (d), (e), or (f), or MCL 600.5775, Owner/Landlord will not take steps to terminate a tenancy anytime before 1 month after a Wayne County payment, or, if a Wayne County payment covers a period of prospective rent, until at least 1 month after that period. *
If this application is funded, the Owner/Landlord agree that it has not received any other eviction diversion or rental assistance payments for this same arrearage for this Tenant. *
I certify that, to the best of my knowledge and belief, all the information presented and attached to this application is true, correct, and complete in every respect; the undersigned is the person legally entitled to possession of the property described in the Contract Unit Address above, or is an agent of same with legal authority to enter into agreements on behalf of the person or entity legally entitled to possession of the property, and thereby authorized to bind the landlord to legal agreements affecting the terms of the lease for the Contract Unit and settlement of any disputes related to said lease. *

a) I am not employed by Wayne County, nor an elected or appointed official of Wayne County, on the date the Grant is executed; and
b) I will not become employed or appointed by Wayne County or become an elected official of Wayne County during the term of the Grant. *

a) Any person who is employed by Wayne County, or an elected or appointed official of Wayne County, on the date the Grant is executed; and
b) Any person who will become employed or appointed by Wayne County or become an elected official of Wayne County during the term of the Grant. *
A "family member" is: (i) a spouse or domestic partner, (ii) a child, stepchild, parent, or sibling of an employee or his/her spouse or domestic partner or (iii) any other relative currently living with an employee or whose assets the employee controls.
