This workshop was an international collaboration among four universities, including MIT and three universities in Bogotá, Colombia. The main objective of this endeavor was to envision, plan, and design prototypical criteria and design solutions as proposals for decision makers, the community, institutions, and other stakeholders to consider with respect to the conflict between formal and informal urban features.
At the heart of this exhibition is the past and ongoing work of our New Orleans-based alumni, the 250 students who participated in MIT's Department of Urban Studies and Planning's efforts post-Katrina, and MIT SAP faculty.
