**Here’s What We’re Looking For** Article ideas need to be about autism and employment or ADHD and employment. We want to know your struggles and your triumphs when it comes to working. What has worked for you? What hasn’t? How have you overcome and in what ways do you still struggle to maintain employment? **We have two goals with the articles we publish** 1) We want to publish articles that help autistic/ADHD people navigate their work and careers better and; 2) We want to educate companies about autism/ADHD so that they can better accommodate/understand autistic/ADHD employees. **Here are a few examples of articles we’d like to see** 1. 5 Things Employees Should Know About Autism (or ADHD) 2. What I Wish I Knew Before I Got the Job 3. How ADHD Changes the Way I Work 4. 3 Accommodations That I Wish I’d Had at My Last Job 5. Bullying in the Workplace 6. What Autistic People Should Watch Out For When Looking for Work Your ideas can be different from what’s written above, but they need to be specific and helpful additions to the topic of employment as an autistic/adhd person. Keep in mind that the most compelling articles combine personal experience with information about a topic (i.e. your personal experience with bullying in your career combined with studies about workplace exclusion for autistic people). Submit your article below (not the finished article) with a link to a writing sample and we’ll let you know if your article idea is chosen (this could take a couple weeks). Finished articles should be between 700-1000 words and will be edited before being added to the website. If your article is chosen, we’ll pay for it (subject to you assigning the copyrights for the article to us via email). Remember, don’t send finished articles unless your idea has been accepted. Unfortunately, we can’t accept every idea that comes to us, so sending us finished articles won’t be a good use of your time. We also won’t accept submissions that don’t follow these guidelines. This is a great opportunity to jumpstart your portfolios and to practice pitching ideas. We’re super excited to see what ideas you’ve got.
