Research Request Form

All visits to the Hampden-Sydney College Archives & Special Collections are by appointment. Using this form, you can indicate times and dates that are the most convenient for you so that the Archives staff may schedule your visit efficiently. Archives & Special Collections appointments are available between the hours of 9:00am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. You may also use this form to indicate specific research materials for retrieval from Archives & Special Collections. Please note that the fulfillment window for all material requested from Hampden-Sydney College Archives & Special Collections is two business days.

Materials Request Information
For researchers with specific materials requests, please use this field to indicate the following for each archival item: Collection Name or Title Creator or Author Identifier or Call Number Folder or Box Name Folder or Box Number Example: AJ Morrison Collection / AJ Morrison / SC-000102 / Manuscript pages 7-12 / Box 1, Folder 2 Researchers should note that rare books are cataloged in the general library catalog, whereas archival items are accessed through our archival catalog.
