Virtual Learning and Enhancement Mini-grant

Now more than ever, it is critical for library staff around the country to have digital resources and training to help their students and patrons with online learning and connection. Increasingly, most schools and libraries have made their programs virtual. To support this effort, ALA is partnering with Google to offer $1000 mini-grants to 90 libraries to provide digital skills programs for library patrons and students using Google’s Applied Digital Skills curriculum. As part of the grant, library staff will receive professional development training through Five-Star technologies to enhance their virtual programming capabilities. Important Dates: September 3 - Applications for the VLE Grant open September 17 - Application close Between September 22-29 - Five-Star conducts training October 1-November 23 - Libraries conduct their Applied Digital Skills/Virtual Learning program November 24-Dec 10 - Libraries submit a brief report of program Visit http://www.ala.org/tools/readytocode/minigrant for more information.
