Innovate with the Waste project is a workshop aimed to educate and show people how to create innovative products from waste and earn from it, thereby creating jobs in the process. One of the easiest ways to help the environment is to focus on what kinds of plastic we use, how we use them, and how we clean up the plastic already polluting the earth. Innovate with Waste is a Pan-African movement that encourages people to reuse, recycle and reduce, helping them to become part of the solution. Urban areas account for 75% of the world’s natural resource consumption and produce 50% of global waste. In most countries, especially low- and middle-income nations, the waste management systems currently used to collect, process and recycle this waste are insufficient and cannot meet demand.
