Parents showed a high level of concern for their baby's development. They indicated confusion around the best steps to help their baby move forward.

Show parents how to access early intervention and other resources. Give them the knowledge to feel comfortable and safe in this environment
Parents’ main inclusion in their babies’ health is through “typical” practices such as feeding or sleeping. When it comes closer to discharge, there are a lot of new pieces of information unfamiliar and unexpected.
NICU Rounds
Promote parental inclusion in discharge process by alleviating some of the overwhelming feelings of discharge planning.
Offices for social services were not comforting and the information was unclear and confusing for new parents, especially at SSI.
