CSA Security Guidance for Critical Areas in Cloud Computing has been the flagship research publication from CSA highlighting 14 domains for the introduction, governance, and operations of cloud. Version 4 was released in 2017 and is the foundation for CSA’s Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK v4) for information security professionals.
Since the release of version 4, the cloud industry has evolved and CSA has produced over 100 publications relevant to the potential expansion of the guidance. Version 5 of the guidance will include high level updates on the technologies and methodologies that make up today’s cloud environment and provide navigational guidance to other CSA guidance resources. Through reviewing of the latest CSA research content, Guidance v4 domains will be assessed for expansion, restructure, and/or re-alignment to current content to provide version 5 with more complete coverage.
