TreeFolks' Central Texas Floodplain Reforestation Program Application

The CTFRP program restores degraded riparian forest buffers along creeks, streams, and rivers within the floodplains of Travis, Hays, Bastrop, Caldwell, Williamson, Blanco, and Burnet counties. TreeFolks partners with passionate landowners who are willing to commit to the long-term growth of their riparian forest. A 26-year deed covenant protects the planted areas to help ensure long-term benefits to you and your land. Services include free trees, planting services, consultations, and on-going support. In exchange, landowners donate Carbon+ Credits from the planting areas to TreeFolks. All revenue generated from Carbon Credits helps pay for your trees and programming costs. This program is funded by carbon credit sales, grants, and donors who are committed to reforestation projects with impactful, long-term results.

Brief description of your property

Before, during, and after our on-site visit, we will look at satellite imagery of your property to determine your eligibility, determine potential planting areas, and get a sense of the layout of your property. In order to help us determine how our services may provide the greatest benefit, please provide a brief description of your property and the condition of your floodplain/creek area including a rough estimate of the location and size in acres of the area you would like to reforest:

I certify that I am the owner, or an owner’s authorized agent, of the property described above (Grantor). I grant a Right of Entry and Use to said property to the Grantee: TreeFolks, its employees, agents, contractors, subcontractors and volunteers for the purpose of assessing the need, implementation and follow-up assessments for the Central Texas Floodplain Reforestation Program. TreeFolks shall notify the Grantor no less than twenty-four (24) hours in advance of any and all entry and use to said property owner from the grantee, its employees, agents, contractors, subcontractors and volunteers. This entry and use agreement shall remain in effect for five (5) years and will cease upon change of ownership or at the request of the grantor. I agree to hold harmless the grantees named above, and any of their employees, agents, contractors, subcontractors and volunteers, for damages of any type whatsoever, either to the above-described property or to a person situated thereon during the authorized activities described above. I release, discharge, and waive any action, either legal or equitable, that might arise by reason of any action of the Grantees, while implementing the Central Texas Floodplain Reforestation Program on the property. Upon request, I will mark any sewer lines, septic tanks, water lines, and utilities located on the described property.
