This application estimates your risk of cancer, subdivided into 26 types and based on 350 different risk factors described in the scientific literature. Results are displayed for 10-, 20- and 30-year timeframes, with a subdivision in anatomical or pathological subtypes if possible. Mika stands for: My interactive cancer assistant. Mika is a medical device. Even more: Mika is a DiGA. That means: Mika can be prescribed as an app by a doctor on prescription. Because as the first digital health application (DiGA) for cancer patients, the Mika app is included in the directory of the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM). The costs for using the app are covered by the statutory health insurance funds. This is regulated by the Digital Care Act (DVG).
