Annapolis is a small, welcoming community that offers a variety of living arrangements for low- and moderate-income elderly and disabled persons. Annapolis offers approximately 56 one- and two- bedroom apartments in a unique two-story garden-style environment. Built in 1962, our sunlit apartments have nice hardwood floors and ceramic tiled bathrooms. We offer many amenities for elderly and disabled individuals, which include emergency pull cords in the bedrooms and bathrooms as well as intercoms in every apartment.
Alice Taylor combines townhouses, garden-style, mid-rise and high-rise apartments to create a unique living environment for its families. The buildings, originally built in 1951, have been completely renovated. Apartment sizes range from one bedroom to five bedrooms, and include modified and wheel chair units. Rents are calculated at 30% of a resident's income. Residents have the option of choosing a flat rent as well. Alice Taylor is conveniently located in Roxbury, next to Mission Hill.
Our neighbors include Wentworth Institute, Museum of Fine Arts, Northeastern University, Boston Police Department headquarters and the Southwest Corridor. The Prudential Center and Copley Square are within walking distance and just a short ride away on the T. Health care is available nearby at four major hospitals: Brigham and Women’s, Beth Israel, Children’s Hospital, and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The Whittier Street Health Center is also close by.
The surrounding neighborhood offers a variety of educational and employment opportunities at area institutions. Public basketball courts, tennis courts and parkland are close by at the Southwest Corridor Park. In addition, several churches are located nearby.
Alice Taylor is near the Ruggles MBTA Station, which provides access to the Orange Line, many connecting buses and the Commuter Rail.
