Responsive design is a web-based standard that allows browsers to "respond" to the html content and format it based on the device it is being consumed. A page created in a design tool, like Adobe XD, Figma or Sketch. There are usually multiple artboards in a design file for a microapp project. Artboards can be exported and uploaded to Tiled as assets. Can have a 1:1 correlation and act as pages, or can be used to create smaller assets and placed in tiles.
A design tool is a third party content creation software that is used to design assets that can be uploaded to Tiled. (i.e., XD, Sketch, Illustrator, PowerPoint etc.)

Single Sign-On (SSO) is a method to provide a seamless login experience for end users, who are accessing their Tiled account through their email provider, instead of a unique Tiled Login. Tiled uses Okta to facilitate SSO.

A session can sometimes contain periods of time when somebody has momentarily stepped away from their computer. In this case, we store a separate field named “active duration” which contains the period of time the person was actively engaged with the microapp. This is stored in the session data.
Not to be confused with Account Admin. This user type can do everything an Account Admin can we except create new Libraries.

Sharing a microapp to a user or group of users emails through the Tiled app. Direct shares allow you to customize the message the user(s) will receive via email. Direct share links can also be copied from the share modal.
Distinct user implies that we are not counting multiple sessions for a user but making sure it’s counted once. One user = one Session. So, "average active distinct monthly user" = average number of users who have logged in at least once month over month.
Sessions have a start and end time associated with them. The difference between these two timestamps give us a duration for the session and this is stored separately in the session data.
Field added in the builder that can be edited in the microapp viewer to create new instances. Currently limited to text, image, URLS (can be used in hotspot or embed tile), video, email, and phone number.

Library Navigation is the set of navigational elements that run vertically across a Microapp Library. The options in the library navigation are adjusted based on permission sets within a Library.

Formerly "Dynamic Instances", Personalization is a feature that allows Tiled users to modify the contents of a microapp without accessing the builder. Personalization refers to "personalizing" specific Tiles with custom content and generating a unique microapp link for each version of a personalized microapp.

A button in Tiled plugins for design tools that sends the most current pages, assets, and hotspots to a specific microapp in Tiled. Sync only works from a design tool to Tiled, not vice versa, with the exception of feedback.
Tabbing order refers to the order that microapp tiles can be activated when navigating a microapp from a keyboard. Dragging and dropping tiles in the microapp canvas from the tiles panel will automatically assign a tabbing order to the tiles chronologically. The first tile added is ascribed the value 1, second tile 2, and so on. The editor can update the tabbing order to define the order tiles are activated when consumed by the end viewer.

An engineering term used to describe being logged into Tiled while on a desktop. The Hub should be referred to as the "Library" when having customer facing conversations.
A type of engagement score assigned to measure a viewer's engagement. The Tiled score is time-sensitive and takes in multiple activity attributes including number of sessions, completion events, screens visited and session duration. Public links receive one Tiled score for all viewers who use the link.

Sessions can sometimes contain no events. We mark these sessions “bounced” and we filter them out from our analytics dashboards because they are generally not useful to people. That said, they can still be included in the raw dataset.

A session is the viewing of all or part of a published microapp - excluding builder sessions - and has an active duration of 1 seconds or more. (Excluding sessions in the personalization editor, also known as “edit-mode” is not yet possible.)
The Self Serve Trail is an account type for users who fill out the form at app.tiled.co/signup. When a user completes verification an account will be auto-provisioned. The account type for this user is called “Self Serve Trial”. Self Serve Trail accounts are apart of the Product Led Growth (PLG) strategy to entice more individuals to begin creating their own microapps.

A SaaS business metric that measures the amount of customers, accounts, contracts, bookings, etc. that a business has lost over a period of time. Customer attrition means the customer will renew but at a smaller amount.

An Ideal Customer (or Company) Profile is a set of criteria that define the ideal characteristics of a customer or company that most need or desire your product or service.
A marketing qualified lead (MQL) is a lead that the marketing team has deemed more likely to become a customer compared to other leads. The basic criteria Tiled is currently using for marking a contact as an MQL is if the contact meets ICP. This determination is based on criteria such as which: web pages were visited, content offers were downloaded, CTAs were clicked, and social posts were interacted with.
A POC or Proof of Concept is 6-8 microapp pages based on existing content in order to demonstrate the power of interactive content in a single format (usually desktop). A microapp project should take no longer than 10 hours to complete. The turnaround time for a POC is usually 5 business, however you should confirm with the designer that this is feasible.
A product qualified lead (PQL) is a lead who has experienced meaningful value using your product through a free trial or freemium model.
Professional Services (PS) Projects are usually initiated by a customer when seeking additional support for microapp creation. Tiled offers support in 2 ways; Microapp Design & Microapp Training. The hourly rate for both design & training is $200/hr. It is common for Companies to request both when seeking help on a project, however most of the professional service hours is spent on microapp design (~95%).
A Sales Accepted Lead (SAL) is a marketing-qualified lead (MQL) that has been reviewed in a formalized lead acceptance process and officially met the agreed-upon acceptance criteria for sales-readiness and handover to the sales team.
A Scope of work is a formal agreement between two companies to establish the “scope of goods or services” requested and the cost associated with those goods or services. A SOW is generated when a company enlists Tiled’s Professional Services to build a microapp. The SOW will contain details such as the microapp outline, the tool the microapp will be designed in, the format the microapp will be delivered in, the number of revisions permitted, the time required for the project and the cost. A spiff, or spiv, is slang for an immediate bonus for a sale. Typically, spiffs are paid, either by a manufacturer or employer, directly to a salesperson for selling a specific product. It is sometimes given as SPIF or SPIFF, a backronym, with invented words to fit the letters, but these are not the origin (see below).
