Ms. Reyelt and Ms. Reid will form a partnership between arts and the library around the joy-bringing element of the turtle. They will travel to Costa Rica to study and work with endangered sea turtles, partner with local turtle conservation efforts, host a live turtle in the library and/or classroom, and work together to infuse their curricula with turtle-based literature, art, and science.

Ms. Laib will travel to Chicago, where she'll present and participate in two conferences, one for math teachers and one for supervisors of math teachers. Her sessions are titled "Building Pedagogical Content Knowledge through Collaborative Coaching" and "Cultivating Student Ownership of Mathematical Language and Ideas".
