Over the years, Catholic Charities staff and volunteers continued to monitor the needs of central and northern Arizona communities and responded by providing life-changing services that protect and nurture children, help strengthen families and assist individuals in crisis - growing to serve communities. We continue the thread of our early work today by delivering services in foster care, adoption and pregnancy counseling, North Star Youth Partnership and Westside Head Start early education. Over the years in response to community needs, our agency has grown to serve veterans and their families, sex-trafficked survivors, victims of domestic abuse, refugees and those experiencing homelessness. Working with our affiliate, Housing for Hope, we provide affordable housing, as well as the resources and services individuals and families need to feel at home in their community.

However, research tells a more complicated story. Those who remain crime free after prison, in general, have more positive attitudes about employment, get along better with their coworkers, and are more receptive to supervision than their re-offending peers. However, these qualities are not developed as a result of employment. They must be in place first. The Chattanooga Rescue Mission has been in the city of Chattanooga ministering to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the homeless in our community since 1975. Our Steps of Faith Discipleship Program (SDP) exists to help those in need of overcoming drug and alcohol addictions. Our facilities enable us to house 46 men in our shelter and 10 in our men’s SDP dormitory. The women’s shelter can accommodate 23 women. This enables us to house a total of 73 men and women in our shelters and SDP program. Last year we served about 34,000 meals and supplied about 25,000 beds for our guests. At the Chattanooga Rescue Mission, we believe that God’s Word has all the answers to man’s sin problem. It is our goal to share God’s saving grace with all of our guests. One of the first steps in this process is providing food, shelter and clothing to those in need. As we meet these basic needs, we pray that God will open their hearts to any spiritual needs that they may have. The Chatt

City Walk Urban Mission works with the homeless and ex-offenders providing basic human needs and transitional and supportive housing focused on re-entry. While we assist some with housing in a group setting, to others, we provide food, clothing, hygiene, friendship, and counseling. ‍ That’s what City Walk aims to do. We try to change our community one life at a time. If WE can take away the stress of where to live and what to eat so THEY can focus on what is important, their walk with Christ and bettering themselves will eventually be a testimony to others.

Our History Community Housing Network (CHN) was founded in 1987. Since that time, the organization has provided permanent supportive housing (PSH) for thousands of people challenged with mental health conditions, addiction disorders and histories of homelessness. PSH is housing with linkages to services that help residents successfully maintain housing and flourish in other areas of their lives. Support services include social enrichment activities, behavioral health care, primary care, employment training and benefit management. CHN was established by the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County to be its housing agency for people with long-term mental health conditions who are able to live independently in the community with supportive services. In 1998, CHN expanded its mission to provide affordable housing for people with disabilities related to addiction, including people who are or have been chronically homeless. Our StoryCommunity Properties of Ohio In 2003, Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing (OCCH) acquired the largest portfolio of scattered site project-based Section 8 rental housing in the nation. OCCH became involved with this portfolio at the request of Campus Partners for Urban Redevelopment, an affiliate of The Ohio State University. Campus Partners was concerned about the high concentration of dilapidated units in the portfolio located in Weinland Park, the neighborhood adjacent to the university, and had s

Hand Up Ministries is a Faith based prison after-care program for men and women that have just been released from prison. We offer a “Hand Up” NOT a “Hand Out”. We provide housing complete with utilities, transportation, meals, clothing, hygiene products and, most importantly, a structured environment to help these men and women re-adjust to society. We offer 24/7 addiction recovery & support with weekly group meetings and weekly individual counseling as needed. We have classes twice each week to strengthen character development, life skills and others as needed by the individual. Residents are encouraged to attend the church of their choice. We help residents find permanent employment or if they are unable to work, we help to get Social Security and/or Veterans Benefits started. Our goal is to assist them in being able to support themselves so that they do not remain homeless. We charge a nominal program fee after permanent employment or other support has been established. https

New Name Ministries has been ministering to ex-offenders from all walks of life since 2004. Though known nationally as being successful in residential reentry ministry for sex offenders, New Name believes their Christ centered program can also successfully impact non-sex offenders seeking to reenter society through their program of accountability and application of God’s word to their lives. This is God's ministry, that’s why it works so well. We are honored and privileged to steward such a significant and timely reflection of God's heart for the outcasts of society, sex offenders; as well as those who suffer in silence, the families (collateral victims) and victims. We believe that Christians are called to re-present the loving kindness of God, and, to bring His transforming Kingdom culture of Heaven to earth. This being so, we believe He is glorified by the redemption of outcasts and victims alike. Those (both victim and perpetrators alike) set free from the bondage of sin are truly

Welcome to H.O.S.T. Transition Services H.O.S.T. is dedicated to helping all offenders as well as their families and other supporters. Our primary focus is for sex offenders because they are the one group of offenders that don't currently receive any type of support. We are advocates for all sex offender issues including sex offender residency restrictions which restrict the eligibility for sex offender housing, sex offender registration, and sex offender supervision including probation, parole, or CRD (conditional release). H.O.S.T. does not condone any form of criminal activity. What we support is the transition of offenders who are law abiding and committed to changing their life for the better. Offenders are in your community, the choice to support them or not is yours. We feel that supporting offenders is not only beneficial to them, but perhaps more importantly beneficial to the entire community. Giving them a chance at success is what reduces their risk of reoffending. D

YWCA Columbus is committed to creating a community of safety, support and stability through emergency shelter and long-term supportive housing. We help community members who have suffered setbacks preserve their sense of self-worth without fear or deprivation, so women and their families have access to housing, education and employment. In 2005, YWCA Columbus responded to a community call to take over emergency shelter and services for families without homes. Many are working poor and unable to meet high housing costs; many are women raising children alone. The 50-room center offers these families safety and support, a place where they can get three healthy meals a day and a warm, secure place to sleep. With their basic needs provided, parents can concentrate on moving forward, using the job-and-housing-search resources, transportation services and the five-star Step Up To Quality rated Safe & Sound child care program.
