Notes
e.g. PR
e.g. Amazonian Lip Balm
1/1/2019
e.g. Formula should be emollient on the lips and offer carotenoid properties to nourish the skin.
Designing
500.0
e.g. Lip Balm
19.0
30.0%
e.g. The balm was initially soft but hardened slightly overnight.
e.g. Replacing beeswax with myrica fruit wax in this formulation to cater for vegan customers.
e.g. Myrica Cerifera (Bayberry) Fruit Wax (Phase A)
25.00%
e.g. Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter (Phase A)
25.00%
e.g. Mauritia Flexuosa (Buriti) Fruit Oil (Phase B)
39.30%
e.g. Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil (and) Vanilla Planifolia Fruit (Vanilla maceration in Jojoba Oil) (Phase B)
10.00%
dl-alpha tocopherol (Vitamin E) (Phase B)
0.50%
e.g. Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin) Peel Oil (Phase C)
0.20%
e.g. 1. Melt the myrica wax and mango butter in a water bath at approximately 60-65°C. 2. Blend phase B and heat it in another bath at approximately 40°C. 3. When the wax-butter phase has melted, stop heating this phase, remove it from the water bath and add the warm oil phase. 4. Stir the total mixture and start cooling. 5. When the mixture comes to a trace (you start to see a solid trace in the overall blend), add the essential oil and pour the balm in suitable jars. Do not completely close
e.g. Next time I attempt this formulation, I will increase the myrica fruit wax from 25% to 26%, as this may harden the balm slightly.
