Visitors can touch and interact with ancient fossil insects from the famed Florrisant Fossil Beds of Colorado. Learn more about ancient arthropods such as trilobites from millions of years ago. In addition, visitors will see a small selection of mineral specimens from the Museum of Geosciences collection. Visitors can take small tumbled stones from the table as a gift.

Each year, Hokie BugFest hosts the 4-H Insect Collection Contest. Youth from around the state assemble insect collections that are judged prior to the event and showcased during Hokie BugFest. Collections are awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in their category, and the top collection is awarded an overall Best in Show. Come see what these talented young minds have created!
