This Planner is intended to help you think about a logic model (or basic theory of change) for your project or organisation. You can use it as a template for each project you do. Just click the 'Copy base' link somewhere up near the top of the screen.
From there, it will also help you to think about simple ways you could measure or evaluate your project/organisation against the logic model.
It's not meant to over-simplify what you do, it's just a structure within which to think about what you do, for whom and what happens as a consequence of that.
The data contained in this template is made up to illustrate how it could work. If you copy the base, you will be able to delete and edit things for your own purposes.
It is probably most effective to work as a project/staff team on this, rather than as one individual.
Work your way through the tabs from left to right. You only need to start adding anything from the 'Stakeholders' tab onwards.
Anything you add to 'Stakeholders' will automatically show up in other parts of the tool where appropriate.
When you first get to the 'Creating your logic model' tab, don't worry about filling in the measurement part. You can come back to that later.
Try not to overthink things in the 'Creating your logic model' tab. There's no right or wrong way to do this. Just try to keep one clear thing per entry. You can add as many as you like and tidy it up afterwards.
The 'Ways to measure' tab will guide you to think about all the different ways you could collect information from people, some of which you'll be doing already.
Once you've added or edited things in the 'Ways to measure' tab, you can revisit 'Creating your logic model' to start thinking/linking which things can be measure by what.
