The official tutorial for the Rok Espresso GC doesn't actually rely on scales for measurement; my guess is that the instruments are specifically sized, so that scale measurements, while useful to maintain consistency, are not required.
The water poured through somewhat fast, so I'm guessing that my grind was too coarse; it may be best to go 1 click in the future.
I was using the grinder backwards, which resulted in my misreading of the instructions. This led to using the coarsest setting instead of the finest setting. I also think I used too much water, although I didn’t measure my yield, so I can’t definitively confirm this.
