# Google Gemini

Airtable is available as a Connected App in Gemini, Google's consumer AI assistant. Turning it on lets Gemini read and update your Airtable data on your behalf.

## Connect Airtable

### In the Gemini web app

1. Go to [gemini.google.com/apps](https://gemini.google.com/apps).
2. Find **Airtable** in the list and turn it on.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to authorize the connection. During authorization you choose exactly which bases, apps, and workspaces Gemini can access.

### In the Gemini mobile app

1. Open the Gemini mobile app.
2. Tap **Menu → your profile picture → Connected Apps**. If you don't find Connected Apps, tap **Personal Intelligence** first, then **Connected Apps**.
3. Find **Airtable** in the list and turn it on.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to authorize the connection.

## Using Airtable in Gemini

Ask Gemini a question as you normally would. Gemini uses your Connected Apps automatically when they are relevant, and asks for permission when it needs it. To point it at Airtable explicitly, type `@` and select **Airtable** before submitting your prompt.

Gemini can only reach the bases, apps, and workspaces you authorized, and it respects your existing Airtable permissions — if you have read-only access to a base, Gemini cannot write to it.

## Disconnecting Airtable

Open **Connected Apps** in Gemini and turn **Airtable** off. You can also revoke the connection from your [Airtable third-party integration settings](https://airtable.com/?integrations=thirdParty), where you can change which bases Gemini can reach without reconnecting from scratch.
