For the 24-25 school year, OSDE is very pleased to offer a $500.00 stipend each semester to first-year teachers who fully commit to attending professional learning and working with a mentor to deepen their instructional knowledge and practice. Please carefully read the following statements to be sure you understand your commitment. This will serve as your agreement with OSDE. I commit to attending the virtual kick-off meeting on 9/4/2024. I commit to attending all required virtual professional learning sessions hosted by Catapult Learning. (Only watching the session recordings will result in a reduced stipend.) I understand that the dates for professional learning have been provided to me well in advance, and I will structure my schedule to attend the meetings. I commit to engaging with my mentor at least twice a month. I commit to ensuring my principal is aware of my professional learning commitment to the First Class Cohort 7. I understand that failure to meet these commitments may result in my removal from the First Class Cohort 7 program and forfeiture of stipends. I understand that stipend payments are distributed to districts and are subject to FICA, state taxes, and Teacher Retirement.
