Our tireless enthusiasm and genuine love for our diverse team is apparent in everything we do. Hornet is seeking a full time Talent Manager/Recruiter to join our team. Our Talent team brings Hornet's vision and values to life through the acquisition and retention of ingenious creative talent, the foundation of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of animation, CG, motion design, live action, VFX and stop motion skill sets and the ability to recognize a versatile range of design languages and production techniques. The ideal candidate will also recognize that successful recruiting begins with the company culture and that long-term retention is based on the in-studio experience, staff well-being, and overall studio vibe. Hornet is a hybrid company with a 3 day in-studio policy. We’re located in the heart of Soho, NYC. Responsibilities: - Lead talent acquisition from sourcing stage through hire stage for all full-time Staff hiring - Manage a world-class Talent (Creative Resource) team of Talent Leads and Talent Coordinators, from day-to-day guidance and tasks to performance reviews, strategy, and overall process development - Ensure best practices are followed across all internal tools related to talent skill set, talent availability, bookings, extensions, and holds - Act as point of escalation on any day-to-day staffing issues - Continue building on all Talent (Creative Resource) team processes and train Staff and Freelance members of the team as needed - Provide mentorship and guidance to Talent (Creative Resource) team for Hornet’s Internship programs - Partner with Producers, Leads, and Leadership to ensure resources are allocated appropriately based on schedule and priorities of each project, working to solve any resource scheduling conflicts that may arise - Foster a network of creative resource relationships through talent sourcing, school visits, membership to professional organizations, and attending industry events - Lead Utilization reporting meetings - Aid in the development and maintenance of the Talent team’s career pathing strategy - Collaborate with Leadership and HR to nurture Hornet’s onboarding program - Support Leadership on Hornet’s Front of House experience, including but not limited to client services and team events, in line with Hornet’s growth and expectations Qualifications: - 7+ years' recruitment experience in a fast-paced production environment - 5+ years' freelance or staff management experience across quick turn project timelines - Experience managing a team of recruiters in a production setting - Exemplary leadership skills which can translate to the fostering and promotion of Hornet values as guiding principles - An organized, collaborative, and process-driven approach with a focus on overall business strategy - Effective communicator with a keen eye for detail - Experience using CETA is a plus Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000
