Duke Arts Fellows 2025/2026 cohort application
The Duke Arts Fellows program seeks to promote Durham Public Schools arts education and the work of arts educators. Fellows with skills and interests in a specific arts discipline are paired with Duke faculty mentors and matched with a Durham Public School (DPS) arts classroom focused on that same discipline. Fellows leverage their artistic expertise to produce fulfilling arts education programming towards a culminating event for students from participating schools. Through immersion in the classroom, meetings with their faculty mentor, and production of this end of school year event, fellows are anticipated to dedicate approximately 20 hours per month to their role and will receive a monthly $350 non-comp payment. Applicants are not required to major/minor in an arts discipline at Duke, though those students are welcome to apply. Fellows can be students of any major with a demonstrated passion for the arts who wish to support Durham’s arts educators and K-12 arts students. Questions should be directed to Duke Arts Student Engagement Manager, Anna Wallace (anna.wallace@duke.edu). Application dates: • Application opens: 1/27/25 • Application deadline: 2/10/25 • Matches announced: 4/1/25
