Alex Snyder is a Senior Photo Editor at The Nature Conservancy where he’s worked with photographers on over 25 feature for Nature Conservancy Magazine. He is Communications Director for The Photo Society, where he hosts the groups monthly virtual talk, “The Photo Society Presents.”
Prior to The Nature Conservancy, Alex was the photographer for Peace Corps – a position that took him all over the world to document the volunteer experience. In this role he also photographed and interviewed many heads of state, dignitaries, and royalty.
Akili Ramsess is a Pulitzer-winning photo editor and former director of photography of the Orlando Sentinel. She joined the NPPA as Executive Director in 2016. Prior to her work with the Orlando Sentinel, Ramsess established a distinguished career with a variety of news organizations from the Associated Press, Los Angeles Times, Atlanta Journal & Constitution, and the San Jose Mercury News. She is on the advisory board of the Eddie Adams Workshop and the National Association of Black Journalists Visual Task Force.
