A minimum of 10 individuals are required to start a new chapter. If you don't have 10, please contact chatpers@scipolnetwork.org and we will provide guidance on how to recruit members to your chapter.
Chapter Roster *
Attach a roster of all individuals including students, advisors, supporting faculty/ staff, or other affiliated professional members. All individuals will be registered as NSPN national members as well.

Describe how you plan to track registration and attendance at events or across other Chapter activities?

CHAPTER IDENTIY & DEVELOPMENT
Details about your chapter name and presence in the digital space.
New chapter names should follow one of the two naming conventions below:
1) Institution NSPN Chapter or 2) NSPN Chapter at Institution. Examples include: "University of Pennsylvania NSPN Chapter," “Boston NSPN Chapter,” "NSPN Chapter at University of California, Los Angeles."
If you are an older, historic chapter you may include that name, and please denote where you would like to have NSPN Chapter (or group) within that name for our partnership correspondence.

Your chapter should have a general email account for interested people to be able to contact your chapter. This may be an email setup through your institution (e.g. NSPN@usc.edu) or through a free email service (e.g. uclaNSPN@gmail.com).
Chapter Fundraising *
Describe how your chapter will obtain funds to host activities and support chapter members to attend NSPN events (e.g. national conference and regional meetings)?* (Limit response to 300 words. Examples: seeking grants through your institution, applying for microgrants, and/or collecting donations.)
Chapter Activities *
Please provide a timeline of proposed or anticipated activities for the next 12 months. You can sort by month and list the proposed activities within those months.
Professional Development *
Describe how your chapters will provide resources, training and inspiration in science policy for your members.* (250 - 300 words. Examples: guidance on available policy trainings, resources to prepare for a career in science policy, and opportunities to enhance their leadership skills.
Diversity, Inclusion, & Equity in Science Policy *
Describe how your chapters will promote inclusion of underrepresented minorities (URMs) in STEM in your chapter.* (250 - 300 words. Examples: highlighting URM’s who contribute to policymaking, exploring how policies impact underrepresented communities, and hosting panel discussions on DEI issues in STEM and policymaking.)
