The 2025 DC History Conference is looking for volunteers! Conference volunteers enable us to create a welcoming environment for conference attendees. Volunteer roles can include room monitors, wayfinders, and registration support, among others. Volunteers can sign up for specific roles and timeslots at a volunteer orientation. ABOUT THE DC HISTORY CONFERENCE The DC History Conference is an interdisciplinary, community conference considering the District’s past, present, and future. Since 1973, the conference organizers have provided a welcoming, educational, and stimulating forum for original research on and engagement with the history of the Washington, DC metropolitan area—prioritizing the local city but including nearby Maryland and Virginia, and the federal government. We will host a few volunteer orientations. At each orientation training, an overview of the volunteer assignments will be provided. By the end of the training session, volunteers will select their conference time slot(s) and assignment(s).
