NEC Regional Relationships Fund Application

In accordance with NEC’s regional organizing strategy, NEC’s new fund will resource the relationship-building that is foundational to regional organizing. Relational work is difficult to fundraise for, especially among frontline place-based formations, and thus, we are making an intentional investment into the people of this network and the relationships they are forming. The Regional Relationships Fund will support burgeoning collaborations and efforts to strengthen relationships in regions and locales. We especially encourage groups working across many north star or frontline communities, or at the intersections of them -- these groups are of special interest in the solidarity economy movement and therefore will be prioritized in the grant making process. Resourcing regional collaborations includes: - Place-based convenings & solidarity economy networking in regions. - Conflict resolution, healing, and/or mediation work between NEC members (or between an NEC member and a non-member) in a particular region. - Accessing services that support regional organizing, such as training, peer-learning, etc. For more examples and information about the fund, check out the RRF webpage here. For requests at or below $2,500: - applicants can expect to receive a response within two weeks - decisions made based on eligibility and availability of resources Requests above $2,500: - We are currently not accepting applications for requests above $2,500. We are spending the first quarter of 2025 evaluating the fund and our grantmaking process. We will reopen to requests in March 2025.
